I was diagnosed with alopecia areata back in the summer of 2013 in college. 😒 At first, I could not understand why I was loosing my hair and I even thought I had cancer! 😰 Turns out when I went to a Naturopathic doctor, I was told my iron levels were super low. I began taking iron pills and all my hair grew back within 1 month! A few years later, spring of 2016, I noticed my hair started coming out again. 😩 My iron levels were normal. In fact, all my labs were. Still to this day I still have many bald patches. They started filling in a little bit now that I have started treatment. I use essential oils for hair growth such as rosemary, frankincense, lavender, cedarwood, thyme and grapeseed. But alopecia areata is autoimmune, which means everything stems from within. So today was the first day I went vegan. 🌱 Why? I want to rid my body of all toxic chemicals, hormones and all harmful processed foods. I want to see if going vegan will help my hair to grow back. Join me in my journey to see if this works.... 👀
